MIA Natural Stone Craftsman of the Year Award
The MIA Natural Stone Craftsman of the Year Award will single out one craftsman who has physically performed outstanding stone fabrication and/or installation over a period of many years. The individual candidate must have served as an apprentice stone mason and risen through the ranks as journeyman stone mason, foreman and superintendent. In addition, the person honored must have a solid track record of leadership and mentorship a real educator for those he works with.
While the innate beauty and durability of natural stone is what attracts customers to our products, there is nothing more important than excellence in craftsmanship to get the most out of nature's oldest building material. That's why the Marble Institute of America is establishing an award to recognize a single individual whose body of work in the natural stone industry stands out above all else.
