Employment Practice Liability Insurance Program

All MIA members in the US receive member discounts on their property/casualty insurance premiums. This includes general liability, workman’s compensation, property, ocean marine, and employment practice liability. They also have full access to all loss control and safety programs to further insulate their operations from loss. Remember; a safe shop does not happen by accident, safety starts at the top, lead by example.

Program benefits include:

• Coverage: $1,000,000 limit.
• Low Cost Premium: typically around $800 (most other policies cost over $2000)
• Toll-free loss assistance hotline: two free hours of legal consultation with a knowledgeable attorney on any matter that could potentially result in a claim.
• Prevention resources: loss control information for company handbooks and other information to help prevent claims.
• 3rd party exposure: coverage is provided when the claim results from 3rd party exposure on an installation or jobsite (e.g. employee could potentially harass or discriminate against a customer).
