StonExpo Announces ‘Call For Papers’ For 2006 Conference Program

(Dallas, Texas) StonExpo 2005 carried out an extremely successful Conference Program, with 3,442 conference sessions attended—a 66% increase over the 2004 event! StonExpo 2006 will continue that success by offering another quality educational program to the stone industry.

A “Call for Papers” has been issued for courses that will provide the most up-to-date information on the latest techniques, trends, strategies and essential knowledge to ensure stone industry professionals continue to grow their businesses and profits. The StonExpo 2006 Conference Program will be held October 18-21, 2006 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 2006 program will include in-depth, three-hour workshops Wednesday, October 18, 2006, the day before the exhibit hall opens. Thursday, October 19—Saturday, October 21 will consist of 75-minute seminars.

StonExpo is looking for dynamic and innovative expert educators with critical information for success in the stone industry. Topics should include proven strategies for staying ahead of the competition and information that can be immediately implemented in the workplace. Product pitches and niche-focused topics relevant to a small audience will not be accepted.

Educational tracks include Business Management, Design/Market Trends, Fabrication/Installation, Sales/Marketing, Technology/Machinery/Tooling and Care/Maintenance/Restoration. The primary audience of the educational program includes producers/quarries, fabricators/installers, distributors/retailers, architects/engineers, interior designers, maintenance/refinishers and kitchen & bath dealers.

It’s easy to submit a presentation for the StonExpo 2006 Conference Program! The Call for Papers form is available on the web site at www.StonExpo.com. Submissions must be made by January 12, 2006. Final selection will be made by the StonExpo Education Committee. Submit forms to Carol Wilkins, Conference Manager, P.O. Box 612128, Dallas, TX 75261-2128; phone: 972.536.6358; fax: 972-536-6401; e-mail: cwilkins@hanleywood.com. Selections will be made in May 2006.
