Kevin Padden Joins MIA as Training Specialist

March 21, 2005 , CLEVELAND, OH — Kevin M. Padden, well-known seminar presenter and writer on natural stone industry topics, is joining the Marble Institute of America (MIA) as a training specialist who will present a series of one-day seminars on stone shop operations and OSHA compliance measures across the country. Additionally, he will conduct "On Location" seminar training for MIA member companies that request "Individualized Specialty Topics" taught at the individual member's own facilities.

"We are pleased to have a talent such as Kevin Padden delivering important educational content for MIA, as part of its expanding regional education programs," said Jim Hieb, director of special projects.

Since re-locating to Arizona in 1992, Kevin has worked in every aspect of natural stone fabrication, production, sales, estimating, education, operations and overall general management. He has been instrumental in directing the establishment of multiple fabrication shops in the Phoenix area.

Padden's passion for education has enabled him to be a regularly featured presenter at StonExpo and Coverings and to write for a number of publications serving the natural stone industry.

In addition to regional and "On Location" education, Kevin will also be responsible for providing "On Site Consultations" for MIA member companies that have special needs and/or situations that require a professional evaluation & recommendation of remedies to solve their problems.
