MIA and OSHA to Stage Safety Seminar in Boston AreaOn Site Inspection Promises to Impress AttendeesCLEVELAND, OH, MARCH 12, 2008 The Marble Institute of America and the Boston OSHA Regional Office will present a day-long stone shop safety seminar in Woburn, MA (Boston) on April 17, 2008. "This seminar is designed to help enhance natural stone shop safety programs and safety awareness. Attendees will benefit from the combined knowledge and expertise resulting from the recently renewed Alliance between MIA & OSHA," stated Gary Distelhorst, executive vice president of the 2,000-plus member MIA. Highlighting this seminar will be a mock inspection of an operating fabrication shop by an actual OSHA official. Some of the more common violations will be "found" and explained during the visit.
